@janusch_patas As someone who’s been 3D scanning for years, innovations like this will truly enable the Holodeck! Hopefully @Polycam3D will be including something like this soon.
Anyone going to Goodwood Festival of Speed, watch out for potholes on The Trundle, there were some suspension killers up there, which are very hard to see!
@Mr_AllenT The human characters enter the uncanny valley for me - couldn’t SORA be used to create plates, with real actors filmed and comped in later? A VFX tool would seem to be its current strength, until human character generation gets better
@gbevin Amazing work! As a synth and VR fan this really interests me. Out of interest, what is being anchored to here? Is it the room or the synth itself? If you were to put the Sub37 in another room would it still work?
@PrattStuff@Swissqp@chris_pointon@hjwakerley To be honest, the scariest thing with the SZ is probably the paintwork. If you leave them out in the frost or snow overnight, tiny micro blisters can appear! Still love it though!
@bbcnickrobinson I think it’s because technology means we know everything about everything, as it happens. Imagine if we’d all had access to the Internet in 1914 or during the Cold War?
@KimHinesSN I’m pretty sure I heard a faint bang (I think you can hear it on the video). Strangely no other observers mentioned this, so I’m wondering if I imagined it now!
