Levi - Thank you for the work that you do in my country of origin. There is a good reason why many have left and never return to establish a permanent life. It is a former Communist nation that never recovered from its past. Mistrust of the successful and/or educated is unfortunately engrained in society since the 1970s. This can be applicable to the diaspora as well.

Given that the older generations within the nation lived in a time when executing individuals in public who studied economics was considered normal - because they were “learning tools to hurt the collective” - now all are suffering as individuals. Even today, the nation has had several civil wars because group A thinks group B is rigging the system for their benefit - when all groups are generally living in poverty.
