@HoJack214@wfaa I guess it good that I own my own buisness. And yes, I will fire any employee that advocates for or cheers violence. Its about mortality and avoiding a hostile work environment, not politics. I don't want anyone like that working at my company.
@HoJack214@wfaa We will absolutely defend their right to say it. As a matter of fact, we encourage them to express themselves. It makes it easier for buisnesses and orginazations to choose to not associate with them in accordance with the first ammendment right of association.
The Martyrdom of Charlie Kirk
My beloved niece telephoned her father, who came and told the news to my wife: Charlie Kirk has been shot, while speaking to students at UVU. My niece had been there to listen to his message. She needed to call her dad.
My wife had to explain to me who Charlie Kirk was. I must have seen him on a talk show before, as his name sounded familiar, but I did not know what Turning Point USA was, or the kind of career — no, ministry — that Charlie Kirk had conducted.
But I did know Utah Valley, and UVU. I’ve taught workshops on that campus, I’ve walked and run and cycled on those impossible hills. Orem, Utah became my home in 1967, and for many years my parents and my wife’s parents lived there. Even now, going there still feels like going home. So on Wednesday, as I left my house to teach a class of high school creative writing students, I found that I could hardly drive for weeping.
Because evil had come to my home.
I felt an immediate wave of grief that someone had brought a murderous heart onto that campus and struck down someone whose only crime was speaking of his beliefs and listening to the beliefs of others.
ACTUAL CALL:
I was called to a home for an unruly child. He was 11 yrs old & was in full blown meltdown screaming & cussing both mom and dad. I asked both parents what I could do to be of service to them. Dad replied "That boy is out of control and he needs to go to juvenile".
I asked both parents what they typically do to punish their son. Dad said "I try & take his phone sometimes but it just makes things worse". I then asked him if he ever considered using a belt on his rear end. He said "the school told all of us we could go to jail for that."
I told the boy to calm down & walk with me to my cruiser. He asked me if I was taking him to juvenile. I told him no we are going to get something. So he and I walked out to my cruiser & got my law book which I had him carry back into the house. I had him sit in a chair across from mom & dad who were seated on the couch together. I asked him if he could read & he said yes. I then opened the law book & pointed to a law I wanted him to read out loud to mom & dad.
He then began to read & he himself reading from the law book informed mom & dad it was in fact NOT against the law for them to spank him as long as the spanking doesn't cause cuts or bruising & is limited to the rear end. They all looked shocked.
I then asked the boy you know what that means? He said "I can get whooped". I said yes and if that doesn't get him to mind the next walk to my cruiser will be in handcuffs going to juvenile & not just getting a law book. I got knuckles from the kid, a handshake from dad, & a thank you from mom👮👮♀️🚔
**There is not a single state in this country that bans spankings. If you feel its appropriate...do it controlled & responsibly. Tough love is some of the best forms of love....especially for children👍

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What in the heck happened? Can you spell 'politicians?'
I hope this goes around THE USA at least 545 times!!! YOU can help it get there!!!

My heart goes out to @RobertKennedyJr today.
This is more about him than anybody.
We are all interested as spectators but he lost his uncle and father at a young age.
It’s about time he knows why.
I hope he gets the answers he’s been searching for.

I keep recieving these texts even after opting out. I haven't lived in PA since 2018. I am registered to vote in a different state. I'm thinking about applying for a mail in ballot just to see if I receive one.
