@MakeVotesMatter@alexsobel@Labour4PR Let's hope:
a) It's not one of those reviews which drag on for years - all too common at the moment.
b) It's conclusions lead to some positive change unlike the Jenkins Commission in 1998.
🚨 NEW: Councils in England are set to get stronger powers to take control of properties left empty and bring them back into use.
Angela Rayner has announced the changes as Labour conference gets underway in Liverpool.
More than 300,000 homes in England are classed as long-term empty.
Under the reforms, councils will be able to start using Empty Dwelling Management Orders after properties have been vacant for just SIX MONTHS, rather than the current two years.
@dave43law I wonder if they've actually read the rules around setting up a political fund within a trade union. Probably not.
Are the megadonors 'employees'?
Would real employees vote in favour of donating to Reform?

@Barclaycard can you clarify if the website for credit card management is closing soon or not?
If you are, it's a big mistake: e.g. today no statements are visible in the app but are on the website.
@dave43law Perhaps the Commissioner only works 5 minutes a day. Apparently he hasn't even interviewed Farage yet.
There's only a relatively small number of facts to look at - how can it possibly take so long?
Does @BBCNews have any proper journalists any more? A few checks at various NW stations shows there are hardly any issues this morning.

@LindaR39@likesretirement Everyone over 60 is entitled to a free eye test every 2 years. More frequently if the optician thinks it necessary. I'm over 70 and have one every year. So cost isn't a problem.
@writethewrongs2 @10DowningStreet Quite agree about cutting down on flying but I'd check out the status pages of National Rail every day for a week just to see how unreliable train services in the UK are.
A daily litany of signal/points/train failures because we aren't spending enough on rail infrastructure
