Female inmates allege sexual assaults, caWsbar launches a Federal Court Charter challenge, and the government’s own Defence acknowledges multiple sexual-assault complaints and incidents resulting in criminal charges: silence.

Why aren’t the rights, safety and bodily privacy of incarcerated women equally newsworthy?

On Saturday, October 17, we’re taking the protest back to Grand Valley Institution for Women in Kitchener.

CSC’s own stats say 94% of gender-diverse offenders with a history of sexual offending were living as their biological sex when they committed those offences.
So if being a trans-identifying male in a men’s prison is supposedly so dangerous, why were so many living as men when they offended and only showing up as gender-diverse later?
That seems like a pretty important question when we’re being told women’s prisons have to absorb the risk for their safety.

Now that people can no longer deny that there are, in fact, a huge number of women losing out to these men, I've noticed a small shift in the argument from "it's not happening" to "it's only a tiny percentage of the population."

There are over 8 billion people on this earth. Most things that happen will occur only to a small percentage of the population.

The entire island of Cape Verde could be blown off the map, and it would still only affect 0.006% of the population.

Less than 0.04% of all deaths are due to school shootings, but it's still an important topic.

Only 0.00013% of planes ever crash, but we still need to be incredibly diligent about flight safety.

The World Cup final was one of millions in the year, but that doesn't mean a rigged game could be brushed off as "Doesn't matter. We'll allow it because it was only 0.0001% of all games."

And out of all the people to claim that small percentages render a topic or a population meaningless, these certainly shouldn't be the ones doing so considering boys who pretend to be girls make up less than 0.005% of all athletes.

Using these laws regarding percentages, the percentage of athletes who are boys calling themselves "girls" is so irrelevant, the "impact" of keeping them off girls' teams isn't even worth mentioning.
