Some ground-nesting birds the 'authorities' have missed on the Cob! Great to see 11 pretty humbugging Shelducklings this morning with the no 1 pair on the pools, despite hassle from the no 2 pair - I hope they nest elsewhere - plus! @ChrisGPackham @michaelastracha

NRW have once again just cut a mile long grassy bank [Malltraeth Cob] at prime bird nesting time, also badly affecting flowers, butterflies, small mammals, lizards etc, and there is no need anyway, as the state of the flood-defence bank is clearly seen from the last cut

@mattwridley The mystery is how anyone that believes Life, Cosmos & Everything accidentally came from a random 'Big-bang' in 'nothingness' [no such thing], chance chemical soup & squillions of element/genetic mistakes - can also think a lab genetic, 'zoonotic' stew is a dead 'virus', well!!!

Superb to see 2 Avocets on the Cob Pool this morning, hopefully they will breed again on Mon - soon! And here some other breeding waders, our equally lovely Lapwings, at RSPB Cors Ddyga.

Hope for the Spring - a new painting, also for Prints, of 'Auguste y Pysgotwr' , one of two juv Ospreys sketched back in August 2022, one at the Spinnies by Bangor, one here at Malltraeth, Anglesey, both same age but unrung.....possibly same nest, Lakes-Scotland? Do come back!
