Much love to HCC for having me come and talk about this work. It was great seeing Dr. Natalie Garza and all the former UH grads. that sponsored the event.
Went to a brilliant and thought provoking talk this afternoon by Professor @JesseJEsparza of TSU. Truly original work that exemplifies the spirit of "New Directions in Tejano History." Mexican American historiography will never be the same...
Thank you so much to @BrockportHist for inviting me to give the Synnestvedt Lecture on Race in American History! It was an incredible experience getting to meet so many awesome students and engaged faculty. Special thanks to @EGMasarik and Morag Martin for the invitation!

a very consequential film, and an example of a white Texan who choose to learn and grow when he learned of a violent history that punctured myths he grew up with. This double murder has reverberated across more than a century.
On Thursday, a group of students marched to San Antonio City Hall to protest gun violence and inaction on gun reform from the Texas Legislate.
The march was part of a larger statewide walkout.
Here’s a reel I produced for Texas Public Radio.
BREAKING: A large student driven protest against gun violence converged on San Antonio City Hall a few moments ago.
The students are demanding HB 2477 be given a vote in the Texas House. The bill would raise age limits on semi-automatic rifle purchases from 18 to 21.
Here's my MAT student Sam Rodriguez 's OpEd on learning loss in today's @elpasomatters, soon to be part of the syllabus for @drewnewman13's and my @NEH_Education Institute.

Today is Amerie Jo Garza’s birthday. She is one of the 19 fourth graders killed in the Robb Elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, last May. She would have been 11. #remembertheirnames#AmerieJoGarza#uvalde
