Please, please, always keep your dog on a lead when walking in the countryside at this time of year. The fields and moors are full of babies and vulnerable nests. ๐ชบ
@Staffsbirdnews Blithfield Reservoir, Blythe Bay today 2 Little Stints with 35+ Ringed plover, 8 Dunlin, also 1 Turnstone, 1 Ruff, 1 Greenshank, 2 Redshank, 2 Great White Egrets.
@Gary_D_Woodburn @roger_broadbent That's true, it's a more pleasant place to walk round but wakeboarding and high water levels for the last four years means very few waders. We did have 63 Little Gulls in April this year, and have lots of Red Deer now.
Iโm joining @CPRE in calling on the government to unleash the potential of rooftop solar, starting now. Add your name.

Sad to see the large field along Admaston Reach at Blithfield has been cut for silage. Skylarks and yellow wagtails were taking food to nests in there @WestMidsBirding @WestMidBirdClub
