Would’ve been cool if he had a moment with Shea Whigham’s character since they worked together in part 1, but they do not interact outside of the second scene in this movie. William Donloe’s wife contributed more to the plot than the random agent who joins the team.

I like that there was just an extra dude on the team in the new Mission Impossible. No idea what his deal is, what he provides for the team, or even his name, but he is physically present for the entire movie. Should’ve been the Jeremy Renner-saince instead.
