Our Requests:

2. Remove encroachments and restore road width.
3. Enhance street lighting.

Escalating Tensions:
- With festivals and weddings this month, the problem is bound to escalate, leading to chaos, mayhem, and petty conflicts, as witnessed previously.

Insufficient Street Lighting:

- Only two streetlights at either end of a long lane.

- Poor visibility creates safety hazards at night for pedestrians and vehicles alike.

Inadequate Municipal Cleaning:

- Constant parking leaves roads inaccessible for cleaning services.

- Unsanitary conditions persist, impacting residents' health.

Road Encroachments:

- Hostel building owners have encroached on public footpaths, narrowing a 30-feet road to less than 10 feet.

- This has made emergency vehicle access nearly impossible.

Illegal Bike Parking:

- Predominantly by men's hostel residents, many of whom are gig workers (Swiggy, Zomato, Porter, etc.), residing in hostels with potentially illegal licenses.

- Workers from nearby malls leave bikes unattended, crowding streets.
