@gazzerbell @KieranMaguire @avfc_david @danroan Not if capital injections have to be for shares. Say your club is valued at £100m owned by one person. He wants to plough £25m in to move up a level. If it fails the club is not laden with extra debt. The owner loses his £25m he’s risked. Fairly simple solution

@gazzerbell @KieranMaguire @avfc_david @danroan But that’s what insolvency processes are for. Unfortunately football has become more about business than sport. If a club goes bust it goes into admin or liquidation. If they were to rule that investment had to be as more shares rather than loans then that solves the debt issue

@gazzerbell @KieranMaguire @avfc_david @danroan I get it but there are severe penalties in place for administration and liquidation to deter overspending. Owners however shouldn’t be restricted on injecting capital to improve their clubs. If they want to take the risk like every other business owner why stop them?

@KieranMaguire @avfc_david @danroan In every other private company in the UK the owners can decide to put their own money in to grow that business, to go out and pay better wages and attract better employees. None are hampered by only being able to spend relative to their income. Tell me again about competitiveness

@annaturley So if some can’t have it no-one can have it? Absolute communist! What about all the SEN kids who get better education in private schools? Just dump them back in the state system to be forgotten about? You lot need wiping out at the next GE
