@beewol You can NEVER find one who has it all,
One who is good with kids, is terrible with chores.
A good one at chores, dislikes kids.
It is important to know which stage you're at.
If you have a toddler, get one for kids, if your kids are old enough to report, get one for chores.
— Niczego. Tylko swoje nazwisko.
Bez domu. Bez pieniędzy. Bez tantiem.
Tylko „Tina Turner” — imię stworzone, by ją kontrolować, a teraz jedyne narzędzie do odbudowy życia.
Zwróciła się ku buddyzmowi Nichirena, codziennie śpiewając mantry, by odnaleźć siłę.
I nadszedł rok 1984.
W wieku 44 lat wydała album Private Dancer — i wszystko się zmieniło. Ponad 12 milionów sprzedanych egzemplarzy. What’s Love Got to Do with It na pierwszym miejscu list przebojów. Trzy nagrody Grammy w jednym roku. Live Aid. Mad Max.
Karta paliwowa.
I niezłomna wola.
Tak rodzą się legendy. 🖤"

Hanifa Nakiryowa was an ambitious student at Uganda’s Makerere University when she met her economics lecturer, Dr. Faisal Buyinza. He used his academic power to pressure her into a marriage that quickly became a prison of severe domestic abuse.
Determined to break free, Hanifa bravely left him. In retaliation, she was lured to his home in 2011 and ambushed with industrial-grade acid. The catastrophic attack dissolved her nose, blinded her right eye, and left her permanently scarred.
Though her body was shattered, her resolve was not. She founded CERESAV to champion acid attack survivors, yet her own attacker walked free after the state dropped the case.
Hanifa’s story remains an urgent, unyielding cry for justice and accountability.

I have to admit, I always wondered what this part of Psalm 23 meant. I thought “He anoints my head with oil” was figurative language for God keeping the Psalmist healthy. I never knew this parallel.
Anoint my head with oil
“Sheep can get their head caught in briers and die trying to get untangled. There are horrid little flies that like to torment sheep by laying eggs in their nostrils which turn into worms and drive the sheep to beat their head against a rock, sometimes to death. Their ears and eyes are also susceptible to tormenting insects. So the shepherd anoints their whole head with oil. Then there is peace. That oil forms a barrier of protection against the evil that tries to destroy the sheep. Do you have times of mental torment? Do the worrisome thoughts invade your mind over and over? Do you beat your head against a wall trying to stop them? Have you ever asked God to anoint your head with oil? He has an endless supply! His oil protects and makes it possible for you to fix your heart, mind, and eyes on Him today and always! There is peace in the valley! May our good good Father anoint your head with oil today so that your cup overflows with blessings! God is good and He is faithful!!”

Comrades, I see a lot of people concerned about the word “sweet”. But let me explain.
“Sweet” crude oil refers to its low sulfur content (typically under 0.5%). The name comes from an old-fashioned way oil prospectors used to test crude: they’d taste it. Oil with low sulfur tasted mildly sweet, while high-sulfur oil had a foul, sulfurous taste — hence “sour” crude for the high-sulfur stuff.
Sweet crude is more desirable because it’s cheaper and easier to refine into gasoline and diesel, since you don’t have to strip out as much sulfur (a process that adds cost and requires specialized equipment). West Texas Intermediate (WTI) and Brent crude are both examples of sweet crude, which is part of why they’re used as major pricing benchmarks.
I’m really jealous of our Rwandan neighbours. Everytime we seem like we are catching up with them, they do some wild stuff & jump straight back into a massive lead.
Now they’re revolutionizing their education by cutting classroom time by 2 whole hours each day. Originally, classes started at 8:30am and ran till 5:00pm. Now they’ll start at 8:30am and run till 3:30pm.
The goal is to reduce student fatigue & enable learners have time for sports, clubs, digital education, arts, music, community activities & other extracurricular programs that support holistic development.
From 8:30am to 3:30pm they’ll be in class and then after that they’ll focus on other disciplines till 5pm after which they’ll go home. On Friday, learners will go home at 3:30pm so that teachers can have time to plan for the next week’s programs.
Colleagues, I have to admit that our friends in 250 are doing something right. I’m officially jealous.
