Toxic lendoda because in adulthood, girls nights don’t happen often and they need to be planned in advance. He could’ve chosen any other day for his plans.
@snezulu Kuyenzeka. Even if kukhona imcimbi esalile, ibakholelwa ekutheni kmele yenziwe kuqala. Thats why uzwa kuthiwa bayashadiswa, even when one is deceased.
@LungyMpisane This is why they advise women to stay away from single friends during their wedding day. Nothing constructive can ever come from women who are still around.
CRIMINAL CASE OPENED AGAINST ICEBOLETHU FUNERALS AND LATE DR THAMSANQA NKONYANE’S GIRLFRIEND
A criminal case has been opened against Icebolethu Funerals and the girlfriend of the late church leader, Dr Thamsanqa Nkonyane.
The Christian Catholic Apostolic Holy Spirit Church in Zion (Inyoni Emhlophe) has confirmed that the Nkonyane family is standing by the deceased's legal wife, Dolly Nkonyane, noting that the couple never divorced.
The family successfully obtained a court order to halt the funeral.
This came after the deceased's cohabiting partner, Priscilla Sizeni Mazibuko (MaKhuzwayo), planned the burial without involving either the family or his wife.
After securing the interdict, the family moved to stop the funeral just as it was about to proceed. Icebolethu staff were requested to open the coffin, leading to the shocking discovery that the body was missing and the casket contained only building bricks.
While Icebolethu has not yet issued an official statement, comments have begun to emerge.
According to a video circulating online, the Chairperson of the board allegedly admitted they knew bricks had been placed inside the coffin but refused to explain why.
The Christian Catholic Apostolic Holy Spirit Church in Zion, Inyoni Emhlophe, issued a formal statement detailing the events surrounding the funeral of the late leader.
"The Christian Catholic Apostolic Holy Spirit Church in Zion, Inyoni Emhlophe, had previously announced with deep sorrow the passing of the 4th President of the Church, President TE Nkonyane, on 24 May 2026.
The church confirmed that the funeral was scheduled to take place on 6 June 2026 at the Osizweni Church Headquarters.
"The cortege was set to depart for the cemetery at 13:00. However, during the conclusion of the funeral program, the South African Police Service (SAPS) entered the venue with a court order from the Pietermaritzburg High Court interdicting the burial.
The application for the interdict was brought earlier that morning by Dolly Nkonyane (MaNgcobo), the wife of the late President Nkonyane, to whom he had been married in community of property since 1988 and from whom he was never divorced.
"The court ruled in her favour, and the order was executed by the police in conjunction with the Nkonyane family. Priscilla Sizeni Mazibuko (MaKhuzwayo), who had been residing with the late President in eThekwini where he passed away, had proceeded with funeral arrangements without the involvement of the Nkonyane family or Dolly Nkonyane. When the cortege returned to the mortuary with the Nkonyane family, as directed by the court order, the family requested that the service provider, Icebolethu Funerals, open the coffin," the statement reads.
The statement further revealed that it was then discovered, in the presence of the police escorting the coffin, that it did not contain the body of the late President, but only building bricks.
"The Nkonyane family has since opened a criminal case in Osizweni, Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), against Priscilla Sizeni Mazibuko and Icebolethu Funerals. The Christian Catholic Apostolic Holy Spirit Church in Zion, Inyoni Emhlophe, is saddened by this unfortunate and inhumane turn of events. The church stands firmly with the Nkonyane family and supports their pursuit of justice in this matter," the statement concludes.
Attempts to get a comment from Dr Nomfundo Mcoyi-Zondo proved fruitless as her phone rang unanswered.
#LQT iyahlekisa lento of picking and choosing when to be culture/religion custodians. If you guys were so strict, you wouldn’t be cohabiting, having pre marital sex and the likes.
This is a flawed stance yazi. You’ll be there in a quiet corner, akubone umuntu wakho and leave soon after. You do the same for others that you care about. Akusho ukuthi usuyosiza ukubamba the coffin and sit with the family.
Moral support and popping by the day before would suffice, given it’s not too far. It all boils down to how much empathy they show during this time. You can feel it when someone doesn’t care. Otherwise, expecting him to miss his brother’s wedding is unreasonable.
I literally ended a relationship coz my then bf didn’t attend my Mom’s funeral watsi kunemshado wabhuti wakhe & I was like what? So you couldn’t spare a few hours umane uvele emlindzelweni ujike kungakasi? I blocked him day of the funeral no back & forth. It is that serious okes.
@__Shezi mhlampe ngine pride, but i could never attribute graces of my life to a deceased human being who had errors i also have & was probably a loser since i don't have generational wealth. for me, everything is attributed to God. And, me later being someone's ancestor would be bonkers
@Ma_Lunga@VukaKhondlo Shiya eceleni ke indaba yesintu. Indaba la is about ILLEGAL immigration. No one says abantu bokufika bangezi. Kuthiwa they must have proper documentation. What’s so hard to understand?
