I think in general, the less API surface area I can expose, the better, in terms of security. Most NAS have native mobile app upload support, and several apps do auto backups very well.

@Daniel15 Face tagging turns out to be orthogonal to thing-tagging/auto-labelling. Both are on the todo list, but face tagging will happen before auto-labelling as I think it's more generally applicable.
