@phrypy went first; sharing about how he went from not knowing any swift to shipping ios apps by building his own ai-assisted playbook.
what i liked was that it wasnt all just about ai writes code, but more how he gave agent context: brief, sources, standards & memory.
the best bit to me: the agent can move fast but humans still own the taste, verification and the final call to ship!

and it was super lovely finally seeing someone with the same first name!
the innate sidequester me is super excited but now im getting sweaty palms because i just submitted my talk title and description... gonna do a public 40 min segment this is the longest one ive been given
MIT, single binary, no telemetry.

Adding a tool's limit is a one-line PR — if you know Cursor / Gemini / Windsurf's limits, that's the easiest way to help.
Your AI coding agent has been silently ignoring half the rules in your AGENTS.md — with no warning.
Codex truncates AGENTS.md at 32 KiB. Everything past the cut is just… never sent to the model.
I built a tiny CLI that shows exactly what gets dropped 👇
It only ships the deterministic case — hard byte/char limits you can verify yourself. No token-window guessing against tokenizers nobody can check. Every limit cites a source or it won't load.
dropped --target codex --ci fails your build if AGENTS.md goes over.
The nasty part: you write "never push to main," the agent does it anyway, and you blame the model.
It never saw the rule. The file got cut before that line.
dropped finds the exact byte where the cut lands and lists which rules survive, get half-cut, or vanish.
funny thing is i built it as a mood tracker.
turns out people were colouring in their gym days, their sleep, water, books. so the new update just leans in:
if you can count it, you can colour it!
@dougsapps thanks doug! and yeah, vibers looks genuinely useful - sharing updates is the part most builders (me included) drop the ball on.
i make ios apps. the main one turns your whole year into a wallpaper, one colour a day. just shipped a big update for it!
hi its been awhile!
some of you followed me years ago for games and random stuff. thanks for sticking around!
i build things now - ios apps, mostly. turning this into personal page where i build in public.
ok so what i actually make?
the first one: tap one colour a day, and by december your whole year is a wallpaper.
that’s it. that’s the app! this is how mine looks like right now
