Growing up in Kenya, where the elephant remains one of my favorite animals, a true symbol of strength, wisdom, and resilience, I could not be happier to find myself at Titan Nation, where the elephant proudly represents the spirit of this university.
What an unforgettable and inspiring evening at Tusker Tales in Indianapolis! . We were treated to heartfelt stories, authentic fellowship, and a vibrant celebration of culture—a powerful reminder of how AMPATH’s programs and people are transforming lives across Kenya and here!
It was an honor to pay a courtesy call to Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Education,

We appreciate the crucial contribution of Kenyans who live and work abroad in the transformation of our country. Through the State Department of Diaspora Affairs, we have taken deliberate steps to formulate policies that help harness their immense competencies, skills and resources in national development.
We particularly recognise remittances from the diaspora and the role they play in family and community support, investment and in boosting our foreign reserves that currently amount to $10.8 billion, the highest ever.
In the past two years, the remittances have grown from $4 billion (KSh516 billion) to $4.95 billion (KSh638 billion) last year.
Hosted representatives of the Kenyan Diaspora from 27 countries, State House Nairobi. Also at the meeting was Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu.
Thank you most sincerely, Your Excellency Dr. @WilliamsRuto, President of the Republic of Kenya, for graciously making time out of your busy schedule to meet with the Kenya Diaspora Working Group and leadership representatives from 31 countries at State House, Nairobi.
