Not all in post are capable & experience to the levels needed but majority are. Medical school grad & post grad is intensive compared to physio

@SalfordUni and @covcampus : how a MSc in advanced practice physiotherapy helps pupil with less than 1 year experience following graduation. Are they ready for advanced practice work? Do they know what advanced practice entails?
Students are paying huge amount for It.

@DrNeenaJha I might be wrong but this might be specific to medics. Any thoughts on AHP’s. Our competence was decided by lot of our supervisors whose competence was also assessed by there supervisors. This is so subjective and flawed way. I am in favour of formal competence.

In regards to take simple history, exam & discuss- IMO, that might not be very helpful as your history taking skills depends on your knowledge and width of differentials. The less you know, the less you question, hence false reassurance

@DrNeenaJha But it’s GP’s who hire and make such decisions. Mostly triaged and sent to PA’s. IMO, Hence we have to be critical of our own thoughts.
