I commented on another post, it goes Way beyond Doordash. And it has been for years. Almost 20 years ago I was working in a Lowe's distribution center and the place was full of illegals. Just a guesstimate of 400 employees 250 were illegal Mexicans. It was a joke to them that they would fire somebody and they come back 2 weeks later with a new name and social security number. There would be weekends when they were afraid of immigration and they would try to call us in because they have to shut the facility down because none of them showed up for work. Again this was a joke to the company. One of them had worked his way up to supervisor because if you were bilingual they would promote you. At some point this one that was promoted became legal but couldn't change to his legal name because he would have to start over at the bottom.
