This is a nice idea for a 30% reduction in the size of a surface code S gate: https://t.co/2Ryf1hJrP3
I was always worried moving twists in this way would have some low distance issue, but I never tested it. They do circuit sims showing it works well.
New preprint. We introduce a game-like framework for systematically describing and analyzing transversal surface-code FTQC on neutral atoms, bridging theory and experiment to enable scalable implementation. Joint work with Shinichi Sunami and Akihisa Goban https://t.co/It7vJjbEXR
