As a creative, you need to accept that your audience won’t always be the people you grew up with. It’ll be strangers who see your art and feel understood.
u probably have imposter syndrome about your skillset because you’ve actually become so skilled at what you do that it now reads as “normal”, so you think it’s normal to everyone else too. ur actually really cool & talented. not everyone can do what you do or knows what you know.
If an artist lacks either a) an established audience or b) a song already showing traction, labels and distributors generally do not allocate meaningful marketing capital to a full-length album. Understanding this dynamic is essential before entering any partnership.
