“He hits like a truck. Nobody hit me harder than Justin Garthje. His kicks, punches, left hook, right uppercut.”🥶
Those of you who have never seen Khabib fights, witness Greatness.
Gaethje made complete fighters like Ilia and Paddy look like amateurs. But look at what Khabib did to him. There's a reason why all fighters call Khabib one of the GOATs.
Unmatched.

Fuelled or fooled? Examining the evidence for ultra-high carb intake for endurance 🔍
This new review examined the evidence and mechanisms for ultra-high carb (> 90 g/hr) and whether they stand up to scientific scrutiny 🧐
Here are the key takeaways ⬇️
🗣️ Ultra-high carbohydrate intakes (>90 g/hr) are becoming increasingly popular, but the scientific evidence supporting them remains limited
🏆 Carbohydrate intake during exercise improves performance, but benefits beyond ~90 g/h are not consistently supported by research
🔥 Consuming more than 90 g/h increases exogenous carbohydrate oxidation but does not appear to further spare muscle glycogen
📉 Higher carbohydrate intakes mainly suppress fat oxidation rather than reduce endogenous carbohydrate use
❌ More carbohydrate does not automatically translate into faster race performances
😮💨 Gastrointestinal tolerance may become a greater challenge as carbohydrate intake increases
🔋 Some recovery markers may improve when athletes consume ~120 g/h compared with lower intakes
👟 Potential benefits of ultra-high carbohydrate intakes may be linked to improved exercise economy rather than glycogen sparing
📈 Enhanced lactate production and utilisation may be another mechanism explaining potential benefits in highly trained athletes
🧠 Ultra-high carbohydrate intake may help reduce perceived exertion through central nervous system effects, although evidence is currently limited
The proposed mechanisms behind ultra-high carbohydrate fuelling remain largely theoretical and require further research ☝️
Ultra-high carbohydrate strategies should be individualised rather than universally recommended to all endurance athletes ✅
As with most nutrition strategies ➡️ use the evidence to guide you and individualise from there.

Tom Pidcock for Guardian:
"I'm not saying that I have the ability right now to beat Pogi and Seixas or Vingegaard. But in the right situation, I can see it happening. And with the right situation, I can win a Grand Tour.”
"But the Grand Tour thing doesn't really excite me so much, but it's an achievement. If I manage to win a Grand Tour, it will be the biggest achievement in my career, because for me to concentrate for three weeks is difficult.
"Everything I've ever achieved in my career, I've always imagined doing it first before I've done it. I've never done anything out of the blue, like magic. So having that stepping stone, I know I can be on the podium again."
“And my goals? I want to win the Road Worlds. Then I will have won all three disciplines. And the Gravel Worlds, actually, but if that never happens, I'm not so bothered. I want a also a monument win. And for sure, I'm going for three Olympic medals. My goal is to finish my career after five Olympics, so after the 2036 Olympic Games, I'll retire."
