@bcherny@trq212 I’m genuinely hoping one of you can help get this in front of the right person at Anthropic.
All of my Claude accounts were banned. I’ve appealed 3 times, and each time the only explanation I’ve received is one word: “Usage”.
I genuinely have no idea what I did wrong.
From what I’ve seen, Anthropic allows people to have multiple accounts. I see YouTubers and people on X openly using multiple accounts too.
That’s the only thing I can think of that may have triggered this.
It was only ever me using the accounts. I wasn’t reselling access or providing accounts to other people.
I run my own ecommerce businesses. I used Claude heavily for completely normal work:
• building and maintaining my ecommerce stores
• web development
• internal ecommerce tools
• stock forecasting
• advertising analysis
• automations
• personal assistant style bots
I was spending more than $2,000/month on Anthropic subscriptions because Claude had become such a huge part of how I worked.
I’ve been obsessed with AI since the early days. I left my previous job to back myself and build my own businesses, and Claude became one of the most important tools I used every day.
Then suddenly I was completely locked out of the ecosystem.
I don’t know whether the ban is permanent.
I don’t know what policy I supposedly violated.
I don’t know what “Usage” means.
And after 3 appeals, I still can’t seem to get the case in front of an actual person who can tell me what happened.
I honestly suspect my accounts triggered some kind of reseller, account sharing, or abuse detection because I had multiple subscriptions. If that’s what happened, I would really appreciate someone actually reviewing the accounts and seeing how they were being used.
I’m not asking for special treatment.
I’m not even asking to have all of the accounts back.
If Anthropic told me I could only have one account going forward, I would happily accept that and follow whatever rules are required.
I just want a human being to look at what happened.
Being permanently locked out of one of the major AI ecosystems with no meaningful explanation is devastating when you’ve built so much of your workflow around it.
This has genuinely affected my businesses and my ability to provide for my family.
If anyone at @AnthropicAI or @claudeai sees this, please, can someone review my case properly?
And if anyone reading this knows someone at Anthropic who could get this in front of the right team, I would be incredibly grateful if you could tag them or repost this.
I just want a fair review and an explanation. If it was too many accounts, then please just be open about how many are allowed. If I’m only allowed one, I will strictly only use one. But it seemed pretty clear that if you weren’t sharing your usage or selling your usage, then it was allowed.

@AnthropicAI@OpenAI: please settle this for developers.
Is this allowed or not? https://t.co/WPQXcSxKoS
How many paid subscriptions can one person use? Can we switch at limits, manually or automatically? Which personal CLIProxyAPI setups are allowed, and which need API billing?
Please bring the docs and staff replies together in one place, with concrete examples.
Losing access can mean lost work and income. We want to pay for these tools and follow the rules. We shouldn't have to gamble our accounts to find out what they are.
@adocomplete Hi @adocomplete - I’ve been trying for weeks to get in touch with someone to have my account reviewed. I’m sure I got suspended incorrectly. Please take a look at my profile page.
