Yesterday, I sat and wrote code. No copilot chat, no claude, no codex. Just typing and autocomplete. It was beautiful.

Lots of errors. Code didn't work at all. Wasted 4 hours.
But it truly was beautiful.

File trees in IDEs belong on the right because code is written left to right. When you toggle the file tree (on the right side) it doesn’t disrupt the position of your code. You can just make the code window narrower.
This is not the case if the file tree is on the left side.
