@Big_Orrin As someone working in a refinery in SE Louisiana…. No impacts expected other than the occasional wind gusts and a rougher misssissippi. Lots of decks being cleared but not much going on.
@WallStreetMav@CBarbie_Lydia Farmers are supported already by RINS and ethanol which is the second biggest refinery cost after crude. Farmers get paid not to grow crops. Drop the ethanol requirement and gas goes down. What breaks exactly do oil companies get? What bailout happened during Covid?
@ThomasSowell Let the market work it out. Soybeans go directly into renewable diesel and jet fuel. Ethanol is bullshit way to appease the farmers lobby. Farmers are still being paid not to grow crops. Everything above adds to diesel and food prices.
@FmrRepMTG This would be good for about 3 weeks until tankage filled and refineries cut runs. Then You’d see gasoline and diesel spike. Let the free market sort it out .
@ManchesterUtd81 Great book! Today the tanks are full. Check back in 4 weeks once turnaround season in the Gulf is in full swing. Many turnarounds were pushed but not all of them…
