Remember when Apple made color-matched metallic Lightning docks for iPhone?
They came in Silver, Gold, Space Gray, Rose Gold, and later Matte Black to match the iPhone 7 lineup.
@N104AP it all depends on the perspective, if you prefer sharing files elsewhere for example, that’s totally fine. I often work with bigger files that are not very convenient to share elsewhere.
I did kinda overpay for the laptop even in 2019 (1100€), but at the time my alternatives were not great in the 15” MacBook Pros. Hilariously though I managed to buy the same exact laptop (except with smaller SSD) for just 320€, in 2021.
the first laptop that i bought was a top of the line 2013 15” rMBP, with 1 TB of storage and all that, in 2019. I upgraded it with an eGPU in 2020, and then retired the laptop in 2023 because the hacks I was using to get eGPUs to work no longer worked on the latest macOS
@nichtmehr33 And also fun fact: even if you owned an apartment, before 2021, you still may not have been allowed to install an AC because of design or neighbourhood issues. But in 2021, there was a law exception made, that made it so the housing companies couldn’t prevent AC installs anymore
@nichtmehr33 Where I live, it’s mostly down to the fact that landlords refuse to install HVAC systems. The corps have just collectively all decided that no one’s permitted to install them.
@EarthAnd_TheSun (and the only reason they aren’t actually lost media is because people have been saving them and sometimes reupload on different sites)
@Cannibalincest started saving half as a joke, but with some stuff being removed with time from the internet and age verfication becoming an issue, I think it’ll pay itself back, if it hasn’t already
