@MumbaichaDon Is a ceremonial inauguration required when govt has announed many measures for cost cutting and fuel saving........ ?? Cant the airport be used without the ceremony ??
@Amockx2022 chitra seems so happy and satisfied to hear all things that are probably what she likes to hear. Such podcasts seem to be increasingly seen, just saw a similar podcast of Sunil shetty.....
@IPL2025Auction with such a large pool of talented cricketers, where is the need to even consider a player who seems to have lost focus and correct attitude towards the game as evident in last 2 seasons..... KKR is likely to meet the same fate as MI if the deal goes ahead....
@Iam_Rohit_G What is wrong in what he did? He is living his life according to his choices. Why should anyone accommodate the selfish interests of others?
@sanghaviharsh@narendramodi Excellent move implemented. I hope it becomes a norm rather than an austerity measure. I also hope that this measure is adopted by all departments for all their projects, however small or big. Similarly, invitations for inaugurating private projects too should be declined.
@ZiviiBloom@PawanKalyan It is too early to compare their performance on public life. Aura might not be of any consequence in governance. Even in show business aura might matter and add only if some level of performance exists.
AMC seriously needs to rethink its priorities in Prahladnagar and Sindhubhavan. Instead of focusing mainly on multilevel parking projects, the city should have planned two modern bus terminals in these areas.
Prahladnagar and Sindhubhavan have become two of Ahmedabadโs biggest corporate, commercial, and lifestyle hubs. Thousands of employees, students, service workers, and visitors travel here daily, yet public transport connectivity in both areas remains surprisingly weak compared to the scale of development happening there.
Today, most people are forced to depend on private vehicles, cabs, or autos because buses are either infrequent, indirect, or poorly integrated. Then the same authorities respond to rising traffic by building more parking infrastructure. That only encourages more cars and creates a cycle of congestion, heat, fuel consumption, and poor walkability.
Imagine if AMC had instead developed high-quality bus terminals with:
โข Strong AMTS and BRTS integration
โข Frequent feeder services
โข Dedicated bays and organized operations
โข Last-mile connectivity options
โข Safe pedestrian access and shaded waiting areas
โข Future integration with Metro connectivity
These two locations have the potential to become major multimodal public transport hubs for western Ahmedabad.
A city cannot solve traffic by endlessly storing more cars. It solves traffic by moving more people efficiently. Public transport infrastructure should come before parking infrastructure, especially in dense corporate corridors like Prahladnagar and Sindhubhavan.
Ahmedabad still has time to correct this approach before these areas become permanently gridlocked.

โฝ Global crude oil prices are risingโฆ
๐๐ But smart cities move with strong Public Transport!
Proud to be a regular user of #AhmedabadMetro โ where every ride means:
โ Less fuel dependency
โ Less traffic congestion
โ Less pollution
โ More savings for citizens & the nation ๐ฎ๐ณ
In times of global fuel uncertainty, public transport is not just convenienceโฆ it is a national strength. ๐ช๐ฟ

@kumarmanish9 But there's no end-to-end commute facilities, lack of parking spaces at nearby bus stand, unnecessary towing of vehicles
All these won't be in favour of people using public transport in Ahmedabad
Suddenly, everyone is realising the importance of public transport :)
Some of us have been shouting this from the top of our voices for years, often being dismissed or called names for questioning car-centric planning.
But every crisis reminds us of one thing: car-based infrastructure alone cannot help cities tide over disruptions.
This is a golden opportunity for corporations and city leaders, if they are serious about sustainable mobility, to invest in reliable first- and last-mile connectivity and make the public transport experience convenient, safe, and comfortable for everyone...
My appeal to PM Modi-
In order to save petrol & diesel, please make it mandatory for bureaucrats, MLAs & MPs to use public buses and metro instead of large convoys.
It will also be a good opportunity for them to experience world-class infrastructure they are building for us.
