CALL FOR CHARTER FLIGHTS BETWEEN HARGEISA-DUBAI!!!!

To the government of Somaliland, CAAA, Business people and the diaspora.

With the peak summer travel season now underway, many passengers travelling to Hargeisa are facing uncertainty and confusion regarding travel documentation and boarding requirements. This situation has created unnecessary difficulties for families, members of the diaspora, business travellers, and visitors wishing to travel directly to Somaliland.

In light of E visa issue, I respectfully call upon the Government of Somaliland to explore the possibility of arranging temporary charter flights between Dubai and Hargeisa during the summer period.

Such a service could be operated by a properly licensed airline under all applicable international aviation regulations, safety requirements, and operational standards.

People will fly into Dubai and instead of connecting with flydubai they will connect to the charter flight with government selling tickets for the charter flight.

I was honored to take part in the Latin America Chairman’s Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The conference brought together senior officials, parliamentarians, diplomats, and international partners to discuss cooperation, shared values, democratic values, inter-regional dialogue, and the strengthening of partnerships across Latin America and beyond.

This visit reflected Somaliland’s growing diplomatic engagement, and I look forward to strengthening the relationships and expanding the outreach established over the course of the visit, in line with our commitment to constructive international partnerships based on mutual respect, peace, stability, prosperity, and democratic values.

NASHA confirms that it operates its own DCS (Departure Control System), the software used to manage passengers from check-in through to boarding.

Around the world, airports and airlines typically rely on established platforms such as Amadeus, SITA, and Sabre because these systems are highly specialized, widely tested, and designed with robust security and operational safeguards.

What is even more concerning is that NASHA states its system supports both desktop and mobile access, meaning it can be accessed remotely. This raises important questions about access controls, cybersecurity measures, auditing, and data protection standards.

The second picture also raises questions. It shows Daallo Airlines at Mogadishu Airport. Given that NASHA handles sensitive passenger and operational data related to Somaliland’s aviation sector, why would a company entrusted with such crucial information choose to prominently display imagery associated with operations elsewhere rather than provide greater transparency about its data governance, security standards, and local operations?

These are legitimate questions that deserve clear answers from both NASHA and the Somaliland CAAA regarding passenger data protection, system security, and operational accountability.
