@yamufc_ Bruno has started the season as practically a striker in a 4-4-2. I don’t know whether this is because Carrick assumed we are better than Everton, Ipswich and Hull or this is the long term plan. If we do the same against City, we are in big trouble
@yamufc_ No single player is changing this team. We will only show signs of being elite once we sort out the defensive structure and unit. Carrick needs to get everyone behind the ball and defending when we don’t have the ball. Too many passengers makes us so easy to play through.
@DanisMCFC The Woltemade one is soft but should be a yellow. Haaland is the most blatant red card you could ever see. Martinez kick is at the very least a yellow but could easily have been a red.
Conceding goals has been a problem under Ten Hag, Amorim and now Carrick.
This is why United fans need to stop targeting managers whenever results go south and KEEP TALKING ABOUT THE OWNERS.
United’s problem is NOT systems or formations. I’ve been saying this since last season and got called an Amorimsexual for it.
Back four or back five, it doesn’t matter when the players are bang average. You literally have Shaw, Maguire and Dalot starting games in 2026.
You need to sign QUALITY players to make any system work. It’s honestly SHOCKING how poor INEOS have been at squad building.
@CoutoPress I expect Maguire, Shaw , Mainoo, Rashford and Cunha to drop out given the derby on Sunday. Yoro, Mazraoui, Santos, Dorgu and Sesko to start.
@AndyMitten can we get a response from INEOS on how they think this is the right way to communicate to the loyal fanbase? Who is signing off on these comms? They deserve to be sacked. It’s a complete and utter disgrace.
This is an appalling way to communicate to fans, it’s dripping with contempt and reads more of a threat than anything else. There are a million ways to say this with a modicum of basic respect which Utd fans are owed by the club. Sadly it portrays the clubs attitude to the fans who bought the football club for the current owners and shows how little they care about how they communicate with the fans. They’d never talk to a sponsor like this.
So many errors here when you break it down.
Dorgu not being in front of his man forces Shaw to come inside to cover the run. Then Shaw is too slow to stop the shot. Keeper needs to save it. And all of that doesn’t matter if Martinez’s touch isn’t so bad in the first place 🤦🏽♀️
The sequence of play before Everton's 1st goal. All down to shitty defense.
Maguire loses it cheaply in build-up, Martinez’s first touch is awful & Shaw is completely out of position.
Yet INEOS thought defensive reinforcements weren’t necessary. 🤦♂️
Based off what Carrick said I don’t see Rashford starting on Thursday, given the derby is 3 days later.
My guess is it will be something like:
Lammens
Dalot
Yoro
Martinez
Mazraoui
Santos
Tielemans
Bruno F
Mbeumo
Cunha
Sesko
Maguire, Shaw , Mainoo, Rash rested…
@TheWavyRedd Peak De Gea was a decade ago. Just let it go ffs - he was a freak in his prime. A genuine world class keeper. The best in the world. He then lost the plot and started making blunders nearly every game.
Unfortunately Gary Neville is 100% correct for once.
Really poor subs from Carrick as they seemed unnecessary even if the fullbacks were on a booking.
Yet it still comes back to the poor transfer window and lack of defensive options we have
Gary Neville: “Lazy analysis will say they [Manchester United] conceded two spectacular goals. The Maitland-Niles goal is a really bad one.
Dorgu for some reason chases out and presses, an isolated press. It gets played past Dorgu - it's a massive mistake, a lack of communication. United had to change their back four during the match. Yoro coming on at right-back highlights the problem - he plays so narrow.
A lot happens before the ball goes in the net. When you're playing away holding onto a result, you have to push up and don't do stupid things. They could have stopped the goal at source. I was screaming as it happened as they had to be organised, they weren't organised in the final few minutes.”

Freeze frame just before the equaliser.
U would think we are the team chasing for a goal. We ended up in a 5 v 7 in our own box (excluding Mbeumo as he’s not getting the ball if it’s crossed in).
This is what @carras16 should be focusing on. This is awful game management #MUFC
@Dylyano “It’s not a coincidence that he’s always letting in screamers” 😭😭 I swear people on here start narratives for the sake of it. Apart from Raya, i wouldn’t swap anyone in the league for Senne 🤷♀️
@jordanh99210908@fuadyabz23 Just changing the CBs doesn’t make us magically concede less goals lol the issues are more than that. I was the first to say we needed to sign better CBs but starting Yoro and Heaven together would be asking for my trouble IMO
@DyslexicJhon@BrunoFernansch8 Hmm I can’t think of many where iv thought he needs to do better tbf. And if you think of the top keepers in the Prem, most have big frailties apart from Raya. Hes not at that level yet or the level prime De Gea was. But he’s certainly better than most
