As fans of Mr. Zhang Yixing, we hereby formally state our position regarding his absence from the EXO fan meeting.

We have witnessed Mr. Zhang Yixing’s tremendous dedication and the helpless responsibility he bore: he trained for months for this performance and arrived in Korea nearly one month in advance to complete the final preparations. His professionalism and respect for the stage were evident to all, yet he was ultimately unable to perform due to a sudden case of “force majeure.”

After the unexpected situation prevented him from taking the stage, he immediately issued a public apology. The helplessness and regret expressed in his words resonated deeply with us. What moved and distressed us the most is that this sense of responsibility—far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect—stems from the deep-rooted care and love he holds for his fans.

At the same time, we must point out that this is not merely a matter between an artist and fans. Out of their support and trust in Mr. Zhang Yixing, fans devoted precious time and energy and bore considerable financial costs, traveling across borders solely to attend a long-anticipated gathering. Such sincere commitment deserves the most basic level of protection and respect.

However, the reality is that the direct financial losses incurred by fans due to their trust in the event are currently being voluntarily shouldered only by the artist himself, out of moral responsibility and his deep care for fans.

As the event organizer and overall coordinator, SM Company, beyond offering ticket refunds, should provide solutions and assume responsibility for the related expenses that have already occurred as a result of this “force majeure” (including flights and hotels). This is a fundamental expression of commercial contractual integrity and respect for consumer rights.

We hereby solemnly request that SM Company:
1.Provide a clear explanation of the specific circumstances surrounding the “force majeure” that resulted in the artist’s inability to perform despite being present at the venue.
2.Proactively propose and implement a reasonable compensation plan for the relevant direct economic losses suffered by affected fans.

Mr. Zhang Yixing protected his fans and upheld dignity. We request that SM Company demonstrate an equal sense of responsibility and, within this collaboration, provide Mr. Zhang Yixing with the professional support and clear safeguards he rightfully deserves.

Yixing has actually been regularly updating us fans on STAYLand over the past few weeks about his rehearsals: doing livestreams and sending messages while practicing late into the night and until dawn.

Please stop saying this was “planned” or accusing him of "scamming" fans into attending the fanmeeting. Whatever the reason may be for his absence, saying that is just incredibly disrespectful and unfair to him and all the hardwork he’s put in.
