As their parent you’re meant to be their safe space. The moment you’re making jokes at their expense they lose their trust in you.
Build your kids up, don’t ridicule them.
This new TikTok trend is making the rounds, in which moms are cracking an egg with their kid’s head. Some are calling it abuse while others are saying it’s just harmless fun. Where do you stand on it?
Dear @UberEats if you’re going to send push notifications for alcohol promotions, please give people the option of opting out of them. For people with substance abuse issues these promotions are an unnecessary battle they have to face.
Look, I’m not saying that it’s cool that the DA is being seen to only support a white Miss SA.
What I will say is that it is plausible that the social media manager decided themselves to post about this event to show support for South Africans and interest in local events. 1/3
And is perhaps not the same person managing the account as in previous years. Which is why it hasn’t been done before.
A post like this would not be part of some massive strategy that was signed off by top DA leadership. They have far bigger projects they are working on. 2/3
Authorities must not turn a blind eye to the illicit cigarette trade for a single day longer. It’s costing South Africans over R20 billion a year.

Conspiracy theory: in the past 24-48 hours I’ve received more engagement on my tweets than I have in years
Is El*n fiddling with the algorithm to get more eyes on non Blue user content so that we want to use it more and stay? Is he that concerned about Threads?
There is a public park on the old Ratanga grounds already and it’s so lovely. If you look closely you can also see some of the old bits from the theme park 🥲
Ever wondered what happened to the Ratanga Junction site in #CapeTown ?🤔
‼️NEW DEVELOPMENT: Century City is getting a brand new residential block with 121 apartments
🌳 Developed by: Rabie
🌳 Apartments for sale: 121
🌳 Architect: Vivid Architects
🌳 Development name: ON PARK
🌳 Apartment type: studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and penthouses.
🌳 Unique amenities: Back-up power to all communal areas AND apartments. This is unique because most new developments only offer back-up power to the common areas and not the inside of the apartments.
Price list:
🍃 Studio = from R1 425 000
🍃 One-bedroom = from R1 995 000
🍃 Two-bedroom = from R2 600 000
🍃 Penthouses = All are SOLD OUT
A year ago, I announced the launch of Rabie’s neighbouring development here called Nine Palms. That development sold out and is currently under construction. Both developments form part of the new Ratanga Precinct which used to be an amusement park. It is going to be an exciting next few years watching the space that was home to the iconic Cobra Rollercoaster - transform into a world class residential area.
The entire area will have a water body that covers 1.64ha with water features, winding walking paths, children’s play areas, landscaping and green spaces. You will now be able to canoe all over the Century City Precinct thanks to the connected canal waterways that run throughout the office blocks, shopping centres and residential blocks.
I am a huge fan of the Century City precinct and all that it has to offer. It’s close enough to the City and has everything you need when it comes to green spaces, exercise spaces, grocery stores and retail.
Century City is currently experiencing a stock shortage for neat residential units and subsequently rentals are continuously increasing. This coupled with semi-gration and the demand for South Africans wanting to live in secure precincts, I believe that this development will do well.
Rabie are the kings of development in this area so I am certain that the final product will be a good one. The circular design of the building around a communal park is somewhat unique to Cape Town - similar to that of the Bantry Hills development in Sea Point, Cape Town. I am looking forward to seeing this project go up.
The render of the new ON PARK development is below. What do you think of the project’s location and design?
Hi hi we’re on Threads now
This feels like the first day of school.

‘I see this absolutely as an extension of my feminism’
Journalist Caitlin Moran speaks to @vicderbyshire about her book 'What About Men?’, which tries to answer the question some are asking - has feminism gone too far?
