The Head of Engineering when he sees PMs pushing vibe slop to production but also has a mortgage to pay

[frog @pinkytoeking]

I remember interviewing for https://t.co/COL7Lbiif6 at the start of the AI boom and immediately thinking "wow these guys are cooked" hahaha

[WebDevCody @webdevcody]

one Opus 5.5 prompt, and now I run around a virtual office managing agents to work on github issues and merge conflicts

[frog @pinkytoeking]

still the best ad

[frog @pinkytoeking]

honestly @dhh is spot on and the gooners hate it

[frog @pinkytoeking]

big moves happening

[frog @pinkytoeking]

@attentionmine hey buddy how are you

[frog @pinkytoeking]

milady

[frog @pinkytoeking]

they come, they fall

we stay. its not too late to hitch on

[frog @pinkytoeking]

I just wanna build some dumb shit this weekend

[frog @pinkytoeking]

finally know who reads privacy policies, a fly

[Fruit fly dev @fruitflydev]

Flybrain is currently studying @ponsdotfamily trying to figure out how it just made $330,000

Long live the fly

[StarPlatinum @StarPlatinum_]

Probably the weirdest memecoin launch on Robinhood Chain so far:

- someone simulates the brain of a real fruit fly
- connects it to a token launchpad
- the fly helps launch its own memecoin
- $FLYBRAIN goes from $1.2M to $50M
- Marc Andreessen apparently follows the developer
- the fly generates more than $100K in creator fees

and somehow all of this happened in less than a day

the story actually starts with a real fly brain, researchers mapped the nervous system of a male Drosophila

- 165,122 neurons
- 10,228,000 synaptic connections
- data reconstructed from electron microscopy
- excitatory and inhibitory signals
- an actual biological connectome

@fruitflydev takes that data and builds a simulated fly brain

then connects it to a computer

the fly receives screenshots of what’s happening on screen

visual information goes through its simulated neurons and motor neurons control the cursor

September 10:

they put the fly in front of a token launchpad on Robinhood Chain

$FLYBRAIN is created

- 1B supply
- paired with GOOGL
- $106,600 in fees generated in just 6 hours

the problem is the entire simulated brain lives on a local computer, a power outage temporarily took Flybrain offline

so one of the hottest AI memecoins on Robinhood Chain

built from 165,122 neurons and more than 10 million synaptic connections, could literally be stopped by someone losing electricity

Marc Andreessen never publicly endorsed the token and the fly didn’t autonomously create the whole thing

but for a few hours

a simulated fruit fly helped launch a memecoin

[frog @pinkytoeking]

oh boy this is gonna pop

(🌶️ take)

You need better engineers to work with LLMs

[frog @pinkytoeking]

we've deliberately tried to limit the agent outputted text. personally i hate the word vomit, makes tasks unmanageable and more complicated than need be. you'll notice short and to the point replies from @attentionmine mostly

[Michael Ma @MichaelandMa]

Mini-update:

Attention's agent has been alive for 2 days now and is the #53 biggest protocol by protocol revenue - https://t.co/6yNh1O4c5D. It's also #1 in its own category of gamified mining. It's pretty crazy what it's accomplished; at the same time I think a lot of people are disappointed with the price of the token. 🧵

[frog @pinkytoeking]

for @attentionmine its now self learning from chat. I got it monitoring its own responses and iterating to improve itself

[frog @pinkytoeking]

the amount of degens that are going to get rich betting on ai agents running tokens will be insane

[frog @pinkytoeking]

we have the most capable agent on chain currently, and likely will for quite a while. Right now its just handicapped by us, will let it run wild soon
