Globalne ocieplenie to nie jest zjawisko, które będzie wyglądać jak scena z filmu „2012”.

Nie będzie jednej, wielkiej katastrofy, wybuchu, pożaru. Będziemy po prostu patrzeć, jak pod naporem zmiany uginają się kolejne struktury naszej gospodarki i środowiska - najpierw łańcuchy dostaw żywności, potem infrastruktura, na końcu ekosystemy, a w raz z nimi państwa i instytutcje.

I to wszystko będzie rozłożone na dekady, czyli na dostatecznie długi czas, by znaleźli się ludzie wmawiający innym, że takie fale upałów, jak ta obecna, zdarzały się zawsze i nie ma się czym martwić. Ale to nieprawda i wystarczy sięgnąć do podstawowych danych, by się o tym przekonać.

Jedyna dobra wiadomość to ta, że wciąż mamy możliwość powstrzymać to zjawisko, a technologia, która nam w tym pomaga dosłownie leży na stole.
