@adarkercemetry I think Vader getting conveniently knocked harmlessly away from the Death Star right before it blew up is pretty good evidence George to some extent was planning for a sequel, although I agree that he probably didn't have much of the larger story worked out yet
@J0hnADouglas The actual plot-hole is that after they destroyed the shield generator why didn't the empire just bombard the planet from orbit instead of sending troops/vader in to capture the base
@OliverJia1014 I bet as soon as the shields went down he would’ve went straight for a ship, which would’ve given him plenty of time to escape.
Reason he didn’t was bc he was died basically within 1-2 minutes of the shield getting destroyed (and probably never even realized it happened)
@MichaelFKane That's not a plot hole, but this is: Why did the Empire decide to deactivate the Falcon's hyperdrive? It implies they thought there was a high chance Leia/chewy would try escaping. But if they saw this as a risk, why not just have troops waiting for them on the landing pad?
@derpo377 I think it would kind of undermine the idea of the emperors arrogance underestimating a smaller, primitive species.
Like the audience would probably expect a planet full of wookies to defeat the empire, which would kinda make the emperor just stupid instead of arrogant

@matpolloy 1. There are obviously not enough Aliens in Andor
2. This is 100% budget related
3. It's a relatively small problem that doesn't have that much of an impact on the show
