A Mum, Disability Activist, Philanthropist and Tubie rolled into one. A strong Independant woman that stands up for equality and speaks out about discrimination
@LawAspi @sainsburys A few years ago driving through a small village when I felt my peg feeding tube snap. Pulled over entering a small library. Begged to use toilet (I could see behind counter) REFUSED Unfortunately I coughed, shooting stomach acid from tube over a display, they screamed ‘get out!’
@Justice4Farooq@GretaThunberg The use of octopus imagery in anti-Semitic propaganda dates back to the late 19th, used to portray Jews as controlling society.
Cartoons depicted Jews as tentacled octopuses with their arms extending to control various aspects of society, such as finance, media, and politics.
Why are people surprised @BorisJohnson can’t follow rules?? He has an approximate amount of children, cheated on ex wives resulting in creating more lives… he’s always been serial liar and rule breaker… no surprises here….
@Pauly283@johnsuchet1 Horses die in point2point racing across the UK every year. I used to do medical cover. 2nd event I ended up the wrong side of the screen. I will never forget the image of the bolt gun and the horse go down - I still see it when I close my eyes - ended up switching to motor cross

@nasojlark@johnsuchet1 Not all horses continue. Some do, some don’t.
When humans take their dog for a run, some would continue to run when their human falls. Some would not.
In uk point to point horse racing - sometimes the rider and horse has never even met before…

@Gabriel_Pogrund Meanwhile, I’m scrimping every £1 together to help families stay warm this winter. I’d have to scale up a bit, from 180kids but with £70m I could provide every child under 16years living in the UK with our ‘warm dressing gown gifts’!! I guess this is why I’d never have money 😂
@thisisneenz@michellevisage@theebillyporter It’s a little known fact that men wore high heels before women did. Jesus wore a tunic, long gowns worn by men in first half of the 20th century. Dresses were unisex with children up to 6 wearing dainty white dresses, Scot’s wear skirts… you wear your skin with confidence 🥰
@criminographer@DarrenBowes3 My heart breaks for you.

Imagine leading the profession of OT’s by advocating strongly for a culture which values using stock photos of non wheelchair users to ‘respect and celebrate diversity’. Positively support those with lived experience? This post is not! I hope an OT didn’t ‘fit’ this wheelchair!
@TimmyDaly New to the show - night time binge when my 4 year old is asleep - started season 6 last night after falling asleep during last episode of 5. WTF? Pete’s dead 😩 nope, just nope! I had to know why!!
@thegradmedic - working private ambulance - in mid house move spotted a car fly into roundabout. I park up and rush to help. Going into cardiac arrest, luckily had my bag, commence care, uniformed man turns up, hand over, realised he was a first placement. I wasted 3 minutes 🙈 I continued…
So basically, reading between the lines, I should shut up, Carer should never get a pay rise, because the CCG will take back my care, put in an agency of their choosing or dump me in residential care. Awesome…
When you ask the CCG for an increase in hourly rate, so a carer could have a pay rise for the first time in 4 years, and the response contains : we will approach community providers as well as nursing residential options that would be able to meet your needs.
So £9.05 per hour, a Carer would be responsible for 4 x IM injections daily, controlled drugs, monitoring O2 Sats and conscious rates. (Jobs left to 2 nurses in hospital, but at home, a carer paid £9.05per hour)
If you choose to use direct payment to contract agency suggested by you the only agreed funds you would be able to use are already within your budget, you would only be able to commission up to this amount which would hugely reduce your hours. This would be of concern to the CCG’
In terms of what we would pay for a registered nursing agency our current rate is £18.50phr and this includes the agency delivering all training competency and sign off, package & rota management and oversight from a registered nurse, ***
