Here is why I will never buy or sell lifetime deals again.
The worst thing about lifetime deals isn't the founders who disappear.
It's that we keep buying them anyway and acting surprised when it gets abandoned.
I've bought dozens. Most are dead.
The pattern never changes:
- Founder gets a fat cash injection.
- Customers expect support.
- Revenue dries up.
- Founder vanishes.
- Customers are left holding nothing.
Everyone says LTD marketplaces like @AppSumo win no matter what, because they already got their cut.
It's not true.
I know they do everything in their power to fix it , but what's left to do when the founder just disappear ?
Refund you?
The real cost was never the refund. It's the trust.
Every dead LTD turns a believer into someone who'll never buy from that founder OR that marketplace again.
They both lost a customer who used to believe.
So before you drop money on an expensive Lifetime Deal, vet the founder like your wallet depends on it. Because it does.
And even then , know this: there's a real chance that LTD gets abandoned anyway.
That's the risk you take every single time you buy or sell a "Lifetime Deal"
@ashen_one@merlaiapp Anytime someone has to scroll to see your cta
You will loose conversions
Top many pricing options, it should be 1 ridiculous price to anchor and 1 deal price which will drive sales.
Like $9 per week or $59 a year
Very nice mascot and animations
All the best.
I made an app in React Native
ο£Ώ Store: ok cool, let me approve it.
βΊ Play: bring me 12 testers. add them by hand. they must rigorously test thy app for 14 days. then i shall consider reviewing it. (or maybe not)
ps. I am that weird guy asking friends at gym to test apps now.
Tbh , This product dont solve a big problem thats enough to make a lot of money.
I too used to make products that no one bought till I came across this from @ZssBecker
"Build something that solves a big probklem that your customers would loose their mind if you turn your server off."
He talks about it in many of his videos.
example : https://t.co/EoJZCjxOP8
It changed everything.
