You have to see Bear be a shitty human being. All the pain that Nikki goes through in the film is A DIRECT RESULT of Bear's misogyny and entitlement. And I expect someone called Pop Culture Detective to look into and see that the whole film is screaming from the top of its lungs
I get the opinion if you would prefer the film not take place from Bear's perspective. Especially because I have seen the takes that Bear isn't a bad guy. But this is such a bad, surface level, disingenuous take on the film.
Sorry folks, but you're just never going to convince me that watching women being brutalized, tortured, or assaulted in increasingly grotesque ways on a big screen for two hours is somehow a deep critique of male entitlement or misogyny.

Amon is pretty good, but it's far too unfocused as a season, and outside the dumb mech 4 doesn't really have anything that bad about it.
@emetswife I wasn't too hot on the early part of the manga, so I'm hoping they are putting more effort in the later half of the season. But ep 4 especially I was disappointed in.
@Productions_Z2H Rava and Vaatu were supposed to be more Yin-Yang, but the way it was presented in the show made it feel more christianized than I think they wanted it to be.
