@Spider_Kaiju The Eternals are surprisingly really really fun in the comics, Gillen's run on them is one of the best Marvel runs of the last 10 years and Kirby's original stint on them in the 70s is fantastic as well

They're just viewed as bums bc their movie was pretty bad but they're cool!

@gen_activated this is part of why krakoa was so good- instead of making like ten characters nobody would care about in five years it made a bit of an effort to utilise characters that don’t see the spotlight as often

@comics_jeff even with the weaker ending i’d still put it in the top 5 marvel runs of all time, just a complete and utter triumph on every single level that the x-men have never even seen equalled, let alone topped

@QuestionStan23 @HankMcPym spader hard carries MCU Ultron, his script is a cointoss between excellent lines and terrible jokes and the design is just fucking terrible but GOD his performance is perfect

his best scene is him crashing the party where there’s not a moving face and zero jokes, not a surprise

@CleatsThe4th @EddieMcstriplin i would say both 😭 pre-crisis fans can be really annoying but they also often have very valid gripes with how he’s treated & gunn gooners can just be super annoying abt 2025

their counterpart would be the Justice League Dark but THAT team has had multiple ongoings to genuinely flesh them out as a group

the damage boost is absurd and offsets most of this tbf but imo she’s a smidge harder

@Wikkerman99 Bendis in the 2000s is one of the best writers the medium has ever seen- Daredevil, Alias, USM, Avengers, Powers. What a set of books.

Bendis after the 2000s is a mixed bag at best- I haven't read all of his stuff but I was hot-and-cold on his X-Men and his MK is TERRIBLE

@snowconedeitee @bg_comicnerd072 didnt have a ton of competition to be fair, bp and wolverine were ass and hickman fumbled the shit out of usm

i enjoy some individual issues of ultimates so much more than parts of uxm but there are very clear peaks & troughs whereas uxm is so consistently very very good

@bg_comicnerd072 Momoko’s x-men was phenomenal, probably in my top 5 runs on x-men of all time and certainly in the top 10

really gonna miss it in the current era of “hey do you remember the 90s weren’t they so good”

@janeluve_ actually really liked the idea of him & cap biting it to push the idea that the old classic-styled heroes who are similar just can’t cut it in this universe designed to reject them, undoing that was probably my least favourite part of the issue but it was still p good i think
