A dedicated team of forest officers, patrolling staff, loco pilots, drone operators and control centre monitors works round the clock at Tamil Nadu’s AI-powered Elephant Control and Command Centre in Madukkarai in Coimbatore to keep elephants safe. In just over two and a half years, the system has facilitated around 9,481 safe elephant crossings ensuring Zero elephant deaths on Railway Tracks, demonstrating how technology, human vigilance and teamwork can come together to protect wildlife.

The system has generated more than 7,116 real-time alerts for railway authorities and loco pilots, leading to 3,821 instances where trains were slowed down or stopped to allow elephants to cross safely. Beyond elephants, the system has also detected deer, gaurs and leopards, creating a comprehensive AI-enabled wildlife monitoring network. The Government of Tamil Nadu continues to strengthen the system. AI-powered drones have been deployed for wider landscape surveillance, extending monitoring beyond fixed thermal cameras and providing real-time situational awareness of elephant movements.

No system can ever be perfect, and the worry never really goes away. But we must keep learning, improving and doing better. A big shoutout to these unsung heroes whose constant vigilance, dedication and hard work make this possible.

An Indian sailor's body returned from Venezuela. Rakesh Chauhan's family now alleges not a single major internal organ was found during a second post-mortem in India.
According to the family/FSUI the following organs are missing:

• Stomach
• Intestines

• Hyoid
• Larynx & Trachea
The family says Venezuelan authorities gave no post-mortem report or clear explanation for his death. The Indian post-mortem reportedly said the cause of death could not be determined because the organs were absent. Federation of Seafarers' Unions of India is demanding an impartial probe and have demanded MEA intervention. They are hoping Venezuela will release the full post-mortem report.

The only thing GOI needs to do to beat this IT myth is,
1. PM and respective state CM visit IIT Bombay, Madras, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee, IISc Banglore.
2. Hold meeting with Director and HOD of their computer science department.
3. Ask the Director and HoDs for AI models, Social media app to be built from scratch.
4. No Bureaucracy involved. Time bound projects.
5. No funding issues.

I can bet within 2 years we shall have enough LLM models and social media apps to beat the west.

How many hours are we spending scrolling every week?

What is the long-term impact on memory, focus and intelligence?

Look around.

The kid whose parents handed him a phone.

The auto driver waiting for his next ride.

The person next to you in the metro.

The executive in the lift.

Something is common.

Everyone's eyes are glued to a screen.

Waiting in a queue? Scroll.

Eating? Scroll.

Bathroom? Scroll.

The bigger issue isn't the screen itself. It's what constant short-form content is doing to our brains.

Ask someone what they ate yesterday.

Many struggle to answer immediately.

Not because they lack intelligence, but because attention and memory are under attack.

We consume more information than ever before and retain less than ever before.

100 videos watched.

2 remembered.

One moment it's a comedy clip. Then a stock tip. Then a recipe. Then a war. Then a gym reel. Then a celebrity scandal.

The brain never gets a chance to rest.

Mental fatigue is real.

And the incentives are huge.

Social media companies make money from attention. The longer we stay, the more they earn.

Force creators to think deeper and viewers to stay longer with an idea.

Many 30-second videos require almost no creativity and can be uploaded endlessly.

And if any mobile companies are listening, build features that discourage endless short-form consumption.

I am not here to preach.

Technology has improved our lives enormously.

But every invention comes with a cost.

The cost of short-form content may be our ability to focus, remember and think deeply.

Memory is collapsing.

Attention is shrinking.

And the scary part?

This disease doesn't look like a disease.

No fever. No pain. No diagnosis.

Just millions of people staring at screens, believing everything is normal.

Maybe the biggest threat to human intelligence won't be AI.
