There is more than meets the eye in this photo…
The ring around the central galaxy cluster is evidence of dark matter, the invisible glue holding the universe together. Dark matter doesn’t emit, reflect, or absorb light, but it has gravity like ordinary matter. 🧵

@IngenieroSeed grabando una roca que "flota" en medio de la nada y que da vueltas alrededor de otra roca. Te vas alejando y ver todo lo que conoces hacerse del tamaño de una pelota a de ser una locura.
Lo que daría por ver eso en persona
8 billion people. Every city, every ocean, every person you've ever loved — peeking out from behind the moon like it's no big deal. This is what Earth looks like when someone finally gets far enough away to see the whole thing.
Only one chance in this lifetime…
Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
Good morning, world! 🌎
We have spectacular new high-resolution images of our home planet, all of us looking back through the Orion capsule window at our Artemis II astronauts as they continue their journey to the Moon.
