सोशल मीडिया पर आजकल लोगों के रिश्ते बन भी रहे हैं और बिगड़ भी रहे हैं। वहीं राजकोट के 20 साल के युवक पीयूष कुमार खरवार ने सोशल मीडिया पर एक लड़की से चैटिंग शुरू की और लड़की ने भी उसे अपना पति मान लिया।

लड़की ने पीयूष के नाम सिंदूर भी मांग में भरा और उसे ये दावा किया कि वो उसे अपना पति मानती थी, लेकिन पीयूष के सामने ये बात सामने आई कि असल में जिससे वो बात करता था, वो लड़की नहीं बल्कि एक लड़का है, तब पीयूष ने उसका मर्डर कर दिया।

इस मामले की जांच 25 जून को शुरू हुई, जब पुलिस को मस्कट फाटक रेलवे दीवार के पास महिलाओं के कपड़े पहने एक बुरी तरह सड़ी-गली लाश मिली।

शुरुआत में इसे एक्सीडेंटल डेथ माना जा रहा था, लेकिन पोस्टमॉर्टम रिपोर्ट में सिर पर गंभीर चोटें पाई गईं, जिसके बाद अधिकारी इसे मर्डर केस के तौर पर फिर से जांच के दायरे में लाए।

पुलिस ने आरोपी का पता लगाने के लिए CCTV फुटेज देखे और जमीनी जानकारी का इस्तेमाल किया। आखिरकार उन्होंने 20 साल के पीयूष कुमार खरवार को गिरफ्तार किया, जिसने पूछताछ के दौरान अपना जुर्म कबूल कर लिया।

पुलिस से मिली जानकारी के मुताबिक, पीयूष फेसबुक पर 'निशा कुमार' और इंस्टाग्राम पर 'पूनम' नाम से किसी व्यक्ति के संपर्क में आया था। इन अकाउंट्स को चलाने वाला चंदन कुमार था, जिसने पीयूष का भरोसा जीतने के लिए खुद को महिला बताया था। बाद में पीयूष और लड़की बनकर रह रहा चंदन साथ में रहने लगे।

पुलिस ने बताया कि चंदन धार्मिक कसमों का हवाला देकर पीयूष के साथ शारीरिक नजदीकी से बचता रहा। पीयूष ने चंदन को अपनी पत्नी मान लिया था और रस्म के तौर पर चंदन की मांग में सिंदूर भी लगाया था।

पीयूष को चंदन की सच्चाई तब पता चली, जब उसने चंदन को शेविंग करते देखा और उसे एहसास हुआ कि उसका पार्टनर असल में एक पुरुष है जो समलैंगिक संबंध चाहता था।

इस बात का पता चलने के बाद दोनों के बीच तनाव बढ़ गया और पीयूष, चंदन को छोड़कर भाग गया। लेकिन चंदन, पीयूष का पीछा करते हुए उत्तर प्रदेश और राजस्थान से होता हुआ राजकोट के पडवाला स्थित एक फैक्ट्री तक पहुंच गया।

21 जून को पीयूष के काम करने की जगह पर दोनों के बीच बहस हुई। पुलिस ने बताया कि इसके बाद पीयूष, चंदन को रेलवे ट्रैक के पास एक सुनसान जगह पर ले गया, जहां उसने बड़े पत्थरों से हमला कर उसकी हत्या कर दी। उसने लाश को पत्थरों के नीचे छिपा दिया और अपनी शिफ्ट के लिए काम पर लौट आया।

VIDEO | Rajkot, Gujarat: Four family members drowned while bathing in a dam on Saturday evening. Fire Officer D V Jadeja said, "We received information that a rickshaw driver had come along with his children to wash his vehicle. Among the four who died, the youngest was around 14–15 years old."

Rajkot DCP Hetal Patel added, "The rickshaw owner, had come here in the afternoon and parked his vehicle near the bank. One person went into the water to wash hands and bathe but started drowning. Others went in one after another to rescue him, and all four drowned. Fire brigade personnel have recovered three bodies, while the search for the fourth is still underway. It is summer and people seek relief from the heat, but one should not enter unknown or deep water bodies."
