@bulltrainingas1@jburnmurdoch Maths. You have 4 apples, lose an apple and you’ve lost 25% of your apples. To go back from 3 to 4 apples, you need 33% more apples than you now have.
Just a reminder that Our President has been accused of
- Raping his Wife
- Walking in on Naked Teens at Miss Univ. Dressing room
- Admitting to grabbing women by the Pussy
- Raping a 13-year-old child
- Raping, groping or sexually assaulting 17 other women
Yet no one cares.
Thought experiment: the day after a no-deal Brexit. You run an airline. A $100m aircraft is on the runway with 200 people. The lawyers say it can't enter EU airspace or land. The insurers say you're on your own. But the MP for Woking reckons you'll be ok. https://t.co/dnc7sj0PM0
Depressing annual update on an indicator of UK medical staffing:
ONLY 42.6% of doctors completing their 2nd year out of medical continue in the NHS (was 71.3% in 2011)
Some reasons:
- Low morale
- #rotagaps
- Lack of training
- Blame culture #BawaGarba
- #juniordoctorcontract
I think that the #BawaGarba case could've, in all honesty, happened to any of us. Especially those who are working in high risk, high patient encounter specialties.
We all lie awake on our on call nights, worrying about a missed blood result, or a missed X-ray finding.
The total number of NHS hospital beds in England, including general & acute, mental illness, learning disability, maternity & day-only beds, has more than halved over the past 30 years, from 299,000 to 142,000, while the number of patients treated has increased significantly.
Remember. The NHS crisis is not the fault of politicians who’ve been in power for seven years, inherited a record patient satisfaction level & has been repeatedly warned of a £30 billion shortfall. It is the fault of doctors, nurses, immigrants & Gordon Brown.
Theresa May says the NHS has been better prepared this winter than "ever before". But is that how those on the frontline in our hospitals feel? A&E doctor @AdrianHarrop shares his experiences
