Thanks, Dave from @pitvaq for visiting and training the @PitVidura field team on the proper use and maintenance of the new PitVaq.
A detailed blog post of its performance compared to the previous version (eVac) will be shared soon.
This is the Pitvaq’s pump chassis, equipped with the pump, engine, and moisture trap. This can go wherever you need to go to empty non-sewered sanitation systems! #fsm#sanitation
Check out our booth at the #FSM6 expo! There, you can learn about how the Pitvaq works and can improve efficiency, hygiene, and flexibility for desludging teams. #sanitation#FSM#pitemptying
We also have a team getting started here in Pietermaritzburg. The Sani Squad responds to any sanitation needs for people of Snathing and surrounding areas! @sastep_za@WaterResearchSA#sanitation#pitemptying

We are in East London this week, training the amazing folks at Impilo Yabantu to use the Pitvaq for pit emptying. This is part of a project with @sastep_za and @WaterResearchSA testing a social entrepreneurship model for pit emptying with the Pitvaq. #sanitation#fsm
Fantastic publication produced by @BORDA_Bremen and featuring an older version of the PITVAQ (the eVac Mk4). Since the batch sent to Tanzania a few years ago, we've manufactured the vacuum cylinder entirely out of steel and included a petrol engine to take it totally off-grid.
Every time we provide fecal sludge collection services to our customers, we are protecting human health and environmental health. 80% of human waste generated ends up in the environment. We are changing that. #RestoreOurEarth#EarthDay#Kigali
@WorldBankWater What a fantastic resource @WorldBankWater! We love how the CWIS initiative highlights the reality that we need a diversity of appropriate solutions to address the diversity of on-the-ground situations. #businessasunusual
The PITVAQ's vacuum pump is powered by a petrol engine. Once a vacuum is created in the sludge tank, fecal sludge is pulled out of on site sanitation systems, allowing teams to transport it offsite for treatment or bury it safely onsite. #WorldInnovationDay
Take a few minutes this #WorldInnovationDay to learn about the PITVAQ, the honeysucker that can go anywhere! With support from @sastep_za and @WaterResearchSA, we designed a tool to help emptying teams get wherever they need to go.
