@oddpodretro @Octav1usKitten @kee1haul Yeah I gave some revenue to both Madonna and the BBC (for a Blackadder clip) as I REALLY wanted to use them for a joke. At least its better than the companies who just ban the video. I used a clip of Insomnia by Faithless and it banned it in something like 100 countries! 😱😰

@oddpodretro @Octav1usKitten @kee1haul (2/2) & through experimenting & re-uploading the same video many times with tiny changes, seems to be anything longer than 4 seconds of a clip from a particularly jumpy company will auto flag & take your ad revenue. I shorten the clips OR replace the audio with a cover version.

@oddpodretro @Octav1usKitten @kee1haul Sadly, YT doesn't care about "fair use", if they have a complaint (usually found automatically by a few companies who are particularly fussy) they just automatically agree with the claim & pay little attention to if you dispute it. Of course, I use MANY clips in my vids... (1/2)

@oddpodretro I really like the longer variety show format, as you know. But the short targeted segments probably work better for the YouTube algorithm & search results - hense success of the GhostBusters & Sonic Mountain Quest vids. I didn't know the "pod" was cos it was originally a podcast!

@oddpodretro Also, you mentioned the SNES Road Runner (sometimes called "Death Valley Rally") - its actually one of my favourites. The Megadrive & Master System/GameGear games are great too. I cover all the Road Runner games briefly in my new video with Octav1us, Teddy & the Fun House Twins!

I called it! Mega Man: The Wily Wars being on the Genesis Mini is awesome, and the other 9 games are solid. However...putting SFII SCE w/ only a 3-button controller is dumb, TBH. Thankfully the @RetroBitGaming USB Genesis controllers are confirmed to work w/ it (as I also hoped!)
