$LUNR - Intuitive Machines secured its sixth NASA CLPS task order, a firm-fixed-price contract worth up to $148.3M to deliver a production line qualified Nova-C lander to the Moon by 2028.
The award includes a $68.6 million base contract plus a $79.7 million performance incentive tied to product-line qualification of the Nova-C lander.
This win reinforces NASA’s accelerated schedule for lunar surface deliveries and supports Moon Base operations under Artemis signaling growing confidence in Intuitive Machines as a repeatable, scalable lunar logistics provider.

@thespacecpa I know the first NSNS satellite is flying with IM3. I am curious if they will set it on its proper orbit and then complete the landing with the satellite in position to assist.

$LUNR - In an interview with spacecom, David Israel (Space Internetworking Principal @Int_Machines) provided insights into Altus-1 the first lunar data relay satellite.
Altus-1 is expected to be launched in Q4 2026 as a payload onboard IM-3 “Trinity”. Beyond communications, Altus-1 will broadcast positioning, navigation and timing signals creating a GPS for the moon. Altus-1 will take approximately 100 days to establish its intended orbit.

$LUNR - ESA will fly their PROSPECT payload package on @Int_Machines IM-4 mission in 2027.
PROSPECT has a suite of instruments that will drill beneath the surface of the Moon’s polar regions, extract samples, and analyse them to search for volatiles such as water ice. Volatiles are potential sources of water, oxygen, and fuel for future explorers.
The package combines a drilling and sampling system (ProSEED) with a miniaturised laboratory (ProSPA) to extract the cold-trapped volatiles and determine their origin and abundance.
