@CameronJNixon I love chasing in East AR and along thr MS/LA Delta. It’s super flat and is not as big of an issue as it seems to be.

Now anything along I-55 and to the east I would agree with you in not chasing.

@CameronJNixon Not going to lie, 06z and 12z GFS does not look super promising but still something I am watching for in hopes of getting my first chase in for the year. Dixie Alley has not been my friend this year.

@NWSNewOrleans There is an area within Gulfport around the intersection of Cowan Rd and US HWY 90 where there some decent size trees branches broken and looked it even snapped off the limbs. I can’t remember the exact location but it was right along where the tornado warning was issued.

Today I have decided to not chase due to the main tornado threat being associated with the QLCS along with the low potential of discrete storms out ahead of the QLCS.

@wall_cloud @amburr_nicold To be fair, I just looked at the sounding and didn’t even bother to look at storm mode lol. Currently looking at model guidance and it appears to be a “no go” for me at the moment. Now if models begin showing discrete storms in the morning the. I may reconsider.

@ConvChronicles There have two waterspouts events that on the Ross Barnett Reservoir in Central MS just north of Jackson. One occurred on July 23,2014 and the second occurred on Aug 19, 2012. I think It’s worth wild for a video given the rare occurrence in this region.

@tornadopaigeyy @BryceShelton01 Be careful when chasing. Personally not the best setup for chasing but good luck. My two suggestions, one stay in the delta at all times, two don’t chase after dark.
