We would like to honor the life of Rusty Rozzelle who sadly passed away this week. With 45 years of service with Mecklenburg County as the Water Quality Program Manager, he spent his career dedicated to the mission of preserving and restoring our local surface water resources.

After #HeleneNC hit WNC, NCDOT crews jumped to action - some after losing their own homes, communities and people they knew.
An effort led by Meghan King, daughter of an NCDOT employee at @MeredithCollege, sought to help - recently delivering a truckload of needed items.

Great visit to Kings Mountain National Battlefield. Ranger Rob read the Declaration of Independence and Rangers Jim and Lamar demonstrated weapons used in the battle. Here’s Ranger Jim firing a Brown Bess. #July4th #IndependenceDay #NPS #DeclarationOfIndependence

@skeithlane @nclgba @civicfcu Judy was my 2nd official boss while I was employed in the Catawba County Budget Office. First she was my mentor and educator on NC procurement policy—she was the County’s Purchasing Director. My first official local government position was under that long legacy of Tom Lundy.

@ToyBeeninga Started my public administration career many years ago as an intern with the @TownofCary! Great way to test my skills and learn from “boots on the ground” experts like Paula Few! Was able to offer students from ASU’s MPA program the same opportunity. Pay it forward!
