@EconBreau Jeez, didn’t realise there were so many Comparative Economists out there waiting to pounce on this tweet.
@EconBreau thanks for the keeping things light..
@investseekers@_MAGA_NEWS_ The British were masters of many things. They master nothing except their own destruction. Brittain was warned. Guess Keir is there to see exactly how the social credit and surveillance state really works
The fact that the Supreme Court of the United States is even being asked to debate the meaning of sex under Title IX is, in my view, a sign of how far we have drifted from reality.
Title IX was written to protect sex based distinctions. Sex has always meant biological sex. Male and female. This was not ambiguous when the law was written, nor has it been ambiguous for thousands of years across every known civilization. Sex is not a feeling, a preference, or a declaration. It is a biological reality.
Every creature on the planet exists as male or female. This is observable, measurable, and consistent across nature. No other species debates its sex. No other species attempts to redefine it. Biology does not bend to personal identification.
Yet we are now being told that a person can be born male and later declare themselves female, or be born female and declare themselves male, and that society and the law must treat that declaration as equivalent to biological reality. That premise alone is where the problem begins.
Because once we accept that biological facts can be overridden by personal identification, there is no logical stopping point.
If a biological male may identify as a woman, then why may a white man not identify as black? Why may a black person not identify as white? Why may an Asian person not identify as non Asian? If identity is purely self declared and disconnected from biology or physical reality, then consistency demands that all categories be treated the same way.
And if that is acceptable, then why stop at race? Why would it be illegitimate for someone to identify as another species altogether?
This is not a slippery slope argument. It is a straightforward logical progression. Once objective reality is dismissed in favor of subjective identity, there is no principled boundary left to enforce.
That is why this issue matters. Not because of hate or fear, but because law, medicine, science, and society must be grounded in reality to function at all.
Title IX was never meant to erase biological sex. It was written to protect it.
When a society loses the ability to define what is real, it does not become more compassionate. It becomes confused, unstable, and unjust.
That is the concern.
🇿🇦ANC proposed Bill to destroy Private Security, the only thing preventing South Africa from collapse!
We have one of the highest crime rates globally and the Police can't control it. Private security employs 600,000 personnel, twice the size of SAPS and the Army combined.
@Lebona_cabonena It’s a popular question, most ppl are asking only references being 2021, and 2014 - it’s ‘low resolution’ and reveals more about who is asking. Much important is years are 1783 ( ending slavery ) then 1954, then 1991, add in Nato moving closer since 70’s…. Yes , it’s much nuanced than that.
@EasyEquities Locked funds and wait times are outdated and seriously frustrating. 5 days, for and Real-time payment from Discovery Bank I've used other platforms, and wanted to come back to EE. This is a major friction point as I want to get into the market I can use a card but why pay more fees? Frustrating
@EasyEquities I understand the safety concern, that's fair.
Instant EFT Is not offered for Discovery Bank, only ABSA, FNB, Standard Bank, Investec, Tymebank, Nedbank and Bidvest Bank
Professor Joseph B. Diescho acknowledges Afrikaners as an African tribe and points out the value of the Afrikaans language for the continent of Africa.
"Of all the more than 2000 languages on the African continent, it is only Afrikaans that has the word and name 'Africa in it."
I think there a few causes, the transition to urban living in Westernized countries is associated with a shift in priorities and choices related to family size, Families with avg 2 kids ( the atomic family ) became sensible from the early 1950’s and 60’s in White countries. When folks were still on farms 50 years before , 3,4,5,6+ kids per family.
Yes urbanisation has occurred in Africa and Asia and , but there is little upward mobility if there is no education , people stay poor , receive social grants in some countries per child they have who also stay poor , but medical advances , international aid all have lead to significant drops in infant mortality.
In the west, the white population is too busy solving their adopted concerns like e climate change, gender pay gaps and mental issues in kind… Religion has declined amongst white people where other ethnicities / tribes / peoples value systems or religion encourages offspring
@Lolita721611021 The 1st house is in Clifton not Rondebosch. You lost all credibility right there. No doubt he has many homes and many assets, but at least be factual
