@Luxottica loving the response from Ray-Ban customer service :( sorry for our mistake on our website and sending wrong lenses - please go to a RB store and now spend more money to get the glasses you ordered that will be made in the same factory.
@TobiasvdMeer@VirginAtlantic To be fair Toby, I could say similar about Hastings Direct - there is no help! I’ve changed my car and you can’t phone cstmr services, you can’t live chat, ur directed to an online account / app neither of which work. HD used to be good but this is ridiculous!
Being instructed to pay for fuel on your own card, because @ZipcarUK’s fuel card is declined (several times), isn’t great a experience. But then later being told you have wait 3-4 weeks to be refunded is simply unacceptable! @bvrla#howtoloosecustomers
@BuyBritishECO @TimmoWorldWide There is no Schengen work visa. The previous ability, particularly for some professions, to easily work across multiple EU countries is now painful.
@Ofcom@virginmedia@LutzSchueler 2/2 when a connection is unstable / continually disconnects, or bandwidth so reduced, due to a network failure for weeks on end, that it’s unusable for even basic tasks, it’s not enough for companies to claim it’s not a loss of service and offer consumers poor compensation.
Dear @Ofcom more work needs to be done to get telcos to better define ‘loss of service’. An usable bband connection (rather than no connection) for 3 wks should not be grounds for @virginmedia to provide consumers with little or no compensation @LutzSchueler
@Ofcom@virginmedia@LutzSchueler Thanks for the response - appreciated. My point was more I think the complete loss of service needs revisiting. If a bus service runs but doesn’t make any stops, or if you buy a multipack or Kit Kats and find the packet is empty, in effect that’s a complete loss of service. 1/2
@leila24765781@virginmedia 7 times Argh! I thought 3 times was bad. Though not 7 times. I wouldn’t even mind as much if they rang you back, but instead they make you ring back and repeat the problem each time.
@virginmedia really showing the love for customers.. a £10 credit to compensate for an ongoing network fault since 14th Jan, that they say won’t be fixed until at least 7th Feb, and that’s made broadband useable most days. I mean I’m just blown away by the love.
@virginmedia To be fair Virgin really don’t appreciate the frustration, or you would offer more than £10 - esp. having to use mobile data at my own expense. If you bought a multi pack from the supermarket and 3/4 was missing, you’d expect to be offered more than 1/4 as compensation I’d expect
@virginmedia Thanks for the reply. But when ur unable to perform basic tasks like video calls, and cxn constantly drops, it practically is a loss of service. Paying £59 for 200mb/s and not even getting the service of the most basic package/speed for 3 weeks, £10 is really not compensation.
@cnbcwatcher90@philatrail That’s not what I read into it - still be TOCs but with one central body running/overseeing them + network rail and setting set fares etc.. similar-ish to how the TfL overground operator model works. Not sure if they’ll use GBR or keep their own branding.
@Dee_Smithxoxo @Brian_The_tim@spagridge @CartwrightObas @TheLondonHughes @bertiecauld I tell you what too.. while I got some of his simplistic points.. if there were 20+ serious allegations of racist behaviour by a known actor, I imagine his response would be very different. All I know is, I stand with the women and I’m glad it’s getting so much attention.
@Dee_Smithxoxo @spagridge @CartwrightObas @Brian_The_tim @TheLondonHughes @bertiecauld Yep. It’s really pathetic behaviour. Looking at his tweets, there’s lots I would agree with him on, but I hate when people spout about being respectful and having tolerance and then have none themselves.
@CartwrightObas @Dee_Smithxoxo @Brian_The_tim @TheLondonHughes @bertiecauld But this example is simply nonsense and not comparable, and misses the point people are able to take an objective view, given the number and nature of the allegations, and the shear detail explained.
@CartwrightObas @Dee_Smithxoxo @Brian_The_tim @TheLondonHughes @bertiecauld Nothing, but the knowing the definition of the word damning does (and if you want to call into question my decision making). Allegations and subjective evidence can be plenty damning, ahead of objective evidence beyond all reasonable doubt / conviction.
@CartwrightObas @Dee_Smithxoxo @Brian_The_tim @TheLondonHughes @bertiecauld I hope you don’t write for a living 🤔 Of course it can still be damning at this stage, based on accounts we have, as well as applying a subjective of view given the number and content of them, ahead of further evidence. I choose to believe the women. You can do as you wish.
@CartwrightObas @Dee_Smithxoxo @Brian_The_tim @TheLondonHughes @bertiecauld I didn’t say it was, and I certainly don’t believe everything I read, but equally you can look objectively at individual cases, and this one is pretty damning. And, as I have said, sometimes airing them in public positively flushes out years of unacceptable behaviour.
@CartwrightObas @Dee_Smithxoxo @Brian_The_tim @TheLondonHughes @bertiecauld He put himself in the public eye with his profession, and these are many and serious allegations which are rarely without some merit. Yes he’s entitled to defend himself against allegations, but frankly the coverage is going to be unavoidable.
