A Seoul court has blocked the attempt to imprison Ol d’Arc, delivering a major setback to authorities targeting citizens who challenged events at the Olympic Park vote-counting site.

🔻 COURT REJECTS DETENTION

The Seoul Eastern District Court rejected the arrest warrant on July 21, 2026.

Judge Seo Beom-jun found no sufficient risk that Ol d’Arc would flee or destroy evidence.

The ruling keeps her out of detention while investigators continue pursuing the obstruction case.

🔻 OLYMPIC PARK RESISTANCE

Ol d’Arc became known as the “Olympic Park Joan of Arc” after holding an entrance door at the Jamsil Olympic Park handball arena for nearly two hours on June 16.

Authorities accused her of preventing sports-organization officials from entering the vote-counting site.

🔻 AUTHORITIES WANTED AN EXAMPLE

Before the hearing, Ol d’Arc said the warrant relied on claims she could not understand and subjective interpretations.

Investigators reportedly demanded punishment severe enough to prevent a “second or third Ol d’Arc.”

That language exposes the real objective. Authorities wanted fear.

They wanted citizens to stop questioning what happened inside the counting center.

🔻 OTHER WARRANTS REJECTED

A second person accused of searching members of a junior women’s handball team also avoided detention.

Two of three men accused of obstructing police had their warrants rejected. One man was detained.
