I was contacted by a young care leaver 18 at the time who was living in a garden shed in the middle of winter. I was able to secure funds and put him in a travel lodge until we found him some accommodation in a housing association in Enfield. He now has a degree in engineering. Local authorities do not have the resources to help young people. Without amazing charities or good samaritans, the majority of our care leavers would become homeless, forced into street life, or end up dead. It's a harsh reality. Children in care are still children #Thestateofit

This is so important. Teachers who I see in my clinic have told me of dealing with brain fog and losing their train of thought mid-lesson or meeting, battling fatigue with another long evening of lesson planning ahead of them, not to mention the physical effects of hot flushes in already sweltering classroom environments.

We need to give menopausal teachers the tools to thrive in the workplace.
